Generations Joining Together to Build Power on the Frontlines of Healthcare

7:30 a.m., registration & breakfast; 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., program

Join us for a day of sharing labor experiences and brainstorming how to embrace and engage nurses new to the practice and to the union.

  • Explore mentoring opportunities and methods to connect with new nurses to strengthen and build your local units.
  • Join in action clinics to brainstorm women in leadership development, how to engage and develop new leaders, and how to create stronger and more powerful voices in your units.

Hear Union Leader Sara Nelson ~ Top Officer and International President of the
powerful Association of Flight Attendants/CWA speak

Named as one of InStyle magazine’s 50 Badass Women in 2019, Ms. Nelson’s militancy as a labor leader and her effectiveness in communication skills helped end the Federal Government shutdown in 2018-2019, assisted in the passage of the FAA Reauthorization bill, and helped fight to end sexual harassment in the workforce, as well as other critical issues facing the airline industry and other public policy battles.

Night Before Festivities
Join us for a viewing of the movie With Babies and Banners - a short documentary on the 1937 Flint Sit-Down Strike and the Women’s Emergency Brigade; followed by a labor trivia contest.
Starting at 6 p.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton-Norwood. Join us for a fun night; complete with appetizers and fun prizes!

This FREE event is open to ALL MNA members; you do not need to be an elected union representative or officer to attend, you just have to have a desire to learn and participate in MNA labor education.

Reserve a FREE hotel room by calling 781-769-7900 and ask for “In-House Reservations” by February 18, 2020, please note that all free rooms are double occupancy only, so please have the name of your roommate ready. If you require a single room the full cost of the remaining room rental is your obligation.
