By now, you have all heard that Cerberus has acquired Caritas hospitals. Today, we had a conference call with Caritas senior management to ask them a number of questions we received from our members. Here is what you need to know:
- All of our MNA contracts have successorship language. That means our contracts will remain in place. Our wages and benefits will not change as a result of this acquisition.
- No hospital or service will be closed as a result of this acquisition.
- The state process for approval of this deal will take four to six months.
- Construction of capital projects at each hospital will start as soon as possible, before the approval process is completed.
- The management teams at each hospital will remain in place.
