Will Unveil Safe Staffing Budget Amendment

Hospital RNs will Describe the Impact of Understaffing

What: Legislators, leaders from the Coalition to Protect Massachusetts Patients—a health care and consumer advocacy group comprising 65 of the state’s most influential health care and consumer organizations—and frontline hospital nurses will hold a press conference to will release the results of a statewide survey of Registered Nurses in Massachusetts hospitals conducted by Opinion Dynamics Corp. of Cambridge.

The Coalition will also announce that it will seek to incorporate safe patient care legislation in the 2005 State Budget. The group is supporting House Bill 1282, which is before the Ways and Means Committee, and the budget amendment will be modeled on that legislation.
