Giving Back to Essential Workers Through Focus on Family:

Providing the Tools for Identifying and Addressing the Impact of COVID-19 on the Children of Essential Workers

COVID-19 has presented unprecedented challenges to the men and women on the frontlines of this pandemic.  Every day we see doctors, nurses, first responders, and other essential workers showing up to keep our communities safe and healthy during this time. Please join us for a virtual discussion of the potential impact of COVID-19 on the children of essential workers including related trauma and protecting their mental and physical well-being.

Tuesday, May 19 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Panelists:

·       Donna Kelly-Williams, RN, President of the MA Nurses Association

·       Robert Sege, MD, PhD, Child Abuse Pediatrician at Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center

·       Sarah Gaer, Suicide Prevention Specialist, Riverside Trauma Center

This discussion will offer important tips about recognizing signs of COVID-19 related trauma in all children and offer participants tools on how to talk to your children about their feelings and concerns during this time.
