MNA has been working with Partners in health (PIH)and the NNU (National Nurses Union) and their RNRN (Registered Nurse Response Network)

(Registered Nurse Response Network) to get volunteer nurses into Haiti and to also support our Haitian nurse partners in the relief work they do every day.

Haiti lost over 1,000 nurses and nursing students, along with its nursing school, in the January 12, 2010  earthquake.  Attached is a list of supplies which NNU (RNRN) is organizing and shipping to Haiti, where PIH staff will meet the plane and offload the supplies which will assist Haitian nurses and their families affected by the disaster. The list was developed by the Licensed Haitian Nurse Association (ANILH) and the Ministry of Health Nursing Direction (DSI/MSPP) and sent to Partners in Health and in turn to MNA from Maude Duvilaire, RN, Director of Nursing for Haiti.
