Medical Cannabis-Considerations for Healthcare Providers

Description: Millions of patients suffering from pain, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, seizure disorders, HIV/AIDS, and other ailments report that cannabis provides relief from their symptoms. With the increasing use of medical cannabis, it is important for nurses and healthcare providers to understand its use. The basics of the Endocannabinoid system, management of medical cannabis in Massachusetts, cannabis pharmacology and safety considerations will be discussed.
