Building the Power of Visiting Nurses and Healthcare Professionals

The MNA Board of Directors has scheduled a home care summit to bring together local bargaining unit members to discuss ideas and strategies to better support our members working in the home care setting.

Topics to be Covered Based on Our Survey of Home Care Member:

• The Current State of Home Care in Massachusetts – how state and federal budget cuts impact our practice and workplace
• Using our Power to Address Issues in the Workplace – with a focus on best practices to address Productivity Standards
• Building an Escalating Contract Campaign: internal organizing to win!
• Organizing the Unorganized in the Home Care Sector  — there is power in union numbers
• Strategies to Prevent Workplace Viollence

Other Details

Breakfast and lunch to be provided, with Happy Hour following the summit  from 4:30 – 5:30 pm at Trillium Brewing in Canton.
