Sal Roselli is the interim President of the National Union of Healthcare Workers, a rapidly growing union representing healthcare workers in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and other facilities in California.
Norm Bossio is a motivational speaker and the sole proprietor of Norm Bossio Enterprises. He is back by popular demand with his new program “Burnout is a Terrible Way to Stay Warm.”
Donna Barry, NP, MPH is currently the Advocacy and Policy Director at Partner’s in Health (PIH) where she began working in 2001. A Nurse Practitioner with certifications in Women’s and adult health, Donna also coordinates PIH’s nursing activities and provides clinical and program advice to PIH’s women’s health programs.
Michael Savoy, RN, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Kathy Reardon, RN, Norwood Hospital, ER nurses, with Betty Sparks, RN, an Operating Room nurse from Newton Wellesley Hospital will describe their experiences with relief work in Haiti.
Edie Ann Brous, RN, Esq is a nurse and attorney in solo practice in New York City and the Coordinator of Legal Clinic. She will discuss common HIPAA misperceptions, potential penalties, implications to privacy violations and the potential liability issues related to social networking.
Donna White RN, PhD, CS, CADAC is an Addictions Specialist at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. Donna will be sharing her knowledge on a topic of great interest to members titled “Impaired Practice, What am I supposed to do?”

Chemical Sensitivity: Attendees are requested to avoid wearing scented personal products when attending the 2010 MNA Convention. Scents may trigger responses in those with chemical sensitivity.
Contact Hours: Continuing nursing education contact hours will be awarded by the Massachusetts Nurses Association.
The MNA is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
To successfully complete a program and receive contact hours, you must: 1) sign in, 2) be present for the entire time period of the sessions, and 3) complete the evaluation.
