This program will provide the nurse with an in-depth understanding of domestic violence and its impact on victims, children, families and society. Topics will include identification of victims through risk assessment screening; victims’ access to appropriate resources; nursing interventions; trauma-informed care; safety planning and the role of the criminal justice system.
