Middlesex Community College
Middlesex Community College RN Refresher Program is designed for Massachusetts registered nurses who have been away from nursing practice for an extended period of time. The program will provide an update of the nursing concepts and skills needed to re-enter the nursing workforce in acute care and/or long-term care.
This program consists of 25 hours of theory and 20 hours of hands-on practice in MCC’s nursing skills lab, Lowell, MA. The goal is to provide students with the supportive learning environment necessary to refine skills and develop a sound knowledge base needed to practice in today’s complex health-care environment. Students must have a current Massachusetts RN license.

Qunisigamond Community College
The purpose of this course is to provide Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses who have been away from the proactice of nursing, with the knowlede of current trends, concepts and skills to competently return to practice.
The cost of the Re-Entry course is $1400 and is due at the time of acceptance (which will be based on a completed application package received on a first come, first serve basis). Approximately $150 for required textbooks (books may be purchased at the QCC bookstore).
Students should anticipate additional parking fee expenses at cliical agency. A CORI check is required of all students accepted into this course.
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays (and an occasional Wednesday) beginning mid October thru mid January
