Tentative Agreement Reached at Berkshire Medical Center

The nurses at Berkshire Medical Center reached a tentative agreement on Nov. 6 with the hospital. The agreement addresses all the important issues identified by the nurses, which includes winning positive language on union security, improved orientation procedures, a special benefit program for senior nurses, and the retention of nurse practitioners in the bargaining unit. The agreement includes a pay increase that will allow the BMC nurses to be competitive in Massachusetts. Specific details of the agreement will be released once the full details of the pact have been shared with the membership.
