Shaw’s Picket in Shrewsbury

On April 23, 2010, MNA Region 2 members joined others in the Central MA labor community at a demonstration at Shaw’s supermarket in Shrewsbury, MA. The gathering served as a protest against Shaw’s corporate greed and to support the Shaw’s workers’ strike. Over 300 employees at the Shaw’s warehouse in Methuen, MA, many with long years of service to the company, went on strike on March 7th over a company demands to drastically increase health care costs and eliminate jobs.
