“Sharing is Caring” Canned Food Drive in February

 

 

MNA members are launching a canned food drive during the month of February as a community outreach project. The need is urgent to replenish the shelves in the region food pantries. The months immediately following the holidays find food pantry shelves depleted at time when the need is the greatest. And given the extreme weather conditions so far this year many families and elderly are faced with higher heating costs which leaves little left over for food on the table.

From February 1-28 we are asking MNA members to donate unexpired canned goods and non-perishable food items to help replenish the cupboards in regional food pantries. The months immediately following the holidays find food pantry shelves depleted at a time when the need is the greatest.

Most of the regions have an established relationship with food pantries and organizations and those will be the beneficiaries of the food that is collected. The canned goods can be dropped off at any of the region offices.
