NURSES RETURN TO THE TABLE TOMORROW
Working For Settlement While Preparing For Strike

Greenfield, Mass. — The Registered Nurses of Baystate Franklin Medical Center return to the negotiating table tomorrow with management in an attempt to settle their contract and avert a strike. The nurses recently notified Baystate management of their intention of a one day strike starting at 7 a.m. on October 5. Tomorrow’s session is the only one scheduled before the strike deadline.

This will be the 27th session of these negotiations. At the session last week Baystate corporate management continued to make demands that would be harmful to the quality of patient care for the citizens of Franklin County. The nurses insist they will not compromise on the quality of care for their families, friends and neighbors.

Following negotiations, negotiating committee members will be available to speak with the media.

The session is scheduled for Thursday, September 27, 2012
12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church
43 Silver St. Greenfield, MA 01301.
