It is well documented that when nurses are forced to work excessive hours, mistakes, errors and patient complications become more likely. Yet hospital administrators continue to force mandatory overtime. The State Legislature is presently considering both the House & Senate versions of a health reform bill. The House version of this legislation bans mandatory overtime and we want to make sure we support from the State Senate.
