MNA Region 5 to help send five members
Labor Notes conferences are the biggest gatherings of grassroots union activists, worker center leaders, and all-around troublemakers out there – and this time we’re in Chicago! Registration is now open. More than 100 workshops and meetings to "put the movement back in the labor movement."
At its 2012 annual meeting MNA Regional Council 5 passed a motion to subsidize the participation of up to five MNA members (from any region) in this conference. There are workshops on the healthcare workforce (us), bargaining for health care, fightbacks such as Wisconsin and very many other topics. MNA delegations have contributed much and gained much in prior years. Registration, housing and travel expenses up to $1,000 will be reimbursed.
