Leominster Hospital RNs to Hold Food Drive to Support Ginny’s Helping Hands Food Pantry

Saturday, November 22 from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Shaw’s at Water Tower Plaza in Leominster

Leominster, Mass. — The registered nurses from HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital, who are members of the Massachusetts Nurses Association/National Nurses United (MNA/NNU), will be holding a food drive to support Ginny’s Helping Hands Food Pantry on Saturday, November 22 from 9 to 11 a.m. outside Shaw’s Supermarket, located at Water Tower Plaza in Leominster.

“Ginny’s Helping Hands Food Pantry helps families in Leominster all year long,” said Natalie Pereira, RN and chairperson of the nurses’ MNA bargaining unit, “but their holiday food basket program is exceptional. From the quality and quantity of food that is put into each basket, to the number of families who are helped, it is a wonderful program and one that the Leominster Hospital RNs are proud to have the opportunity to support.”

Specific foods sought by the food pantry at this time include: gravy, stuffing, pie crust, pie filling and butter.

Please consider purchasing these items and dropping them off with the Leominster Hospital nurses as you leave the Shaw’s at Water Tower Plaza on Saturday, November 22 between the hours of 9 and 11 a.m.
