Warren Stands up for Nurses and Working Families

U.S. Senate candidate and consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren met with local nurses on Thursday, Sept. 13 in Quincy and discussed her efforts to support nurses and their patients, and to fight for working families.

“Nurses play such an important role providing for the health and well-being of families across the Commonwealth,” said Warren. “We must support nurses and working families by fighting to create a level playing field for hardworking people here in Massachusetts and across the country.”

Warren is committed to standing with working families across the Commonwealth, and will fight to increase opportunities so everyone has a fair shot at success. Republican Scott Brown has shown he stands with Wall Street and big corporations, not with the people of Massachusetts. He has voted against the interests of working families by supporting tax breaks for Big Oil and billionaires and by voting against equal pay for equal work.

“Elizabeth Warren believes we need to invest in our future and create opportunities for working people across the Commonwealth,” said MNA President Donna Kelly-Williams. “We need Elizabeth in the United States Senate because she will stand with nurses and fight for working families.”
