Govenor Deval Patrick to Sign Proclamation Today in Honor of National NP Week

In recognition of the many contributions made by Nurse Practitioners to the health and well being of the citizens of the Commonwealth, Governor Deval Patrick will be issuing a proclamation today acknowledging November 13-19, 2011 as National Nurse Practitioner Week.

The Gubernatorial Proclamation will be presented to the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners by Senator Steven Baddour at the State House today at 1 p.m in Room 222. A reception with Beacon Hill lawmakers noting how NPs serve as a large part of the cost and quality solution will follow. This is a great honor and tremendous opportunity for nurses to educate our legislators about the vital role nurse practitioners play in our health care delivery system. The MNA salutes all of its NP members, along with all other advanced practice nurses for the work they do every day to provide high quality care to the residents of the Commonwealth.
