About a dozen of the city’s school nurses went before the School Committee on Wednesday to request that staffing levels be kept the same as they were last year.
“We understand there have been closures of two schools, but, regardless, we still have to care for more than 8,000 students,” school nurse Christine Kimball said.
Taunton, which is closing to elementary schools and converting a middle school into an elementary school, is in the midst of a redistricting that will see student populations in a number of remaining schools increase.
