Joint Committee on Judiciary Hearing On Bill to Increase Criminal Penalties for Assaulting Nurses



More than thirty nurses went to the State House on July 14th to testify before the Joint committee on Judiciary. They spoke in support of House Bill 1696 and Senate Bill 1759 which make it a crime to assault a nurse while she/he is on duty. The heartfelt testimony conveyed the reality of the violence nurses suffer at their workplaces.
