Labor Department Bargaining Unit Updates

Negotiations are continuing. Over the past six months several health and safety problems have been reported and the MNA committee has worked with management to address them. As a result, there is now better air quality on several units and numerous air quality problems are being addressed. Good work by the nurses in alerting the committee to these problems. The committee also sent out an air quality questionnaire and is in the midst of tallying the responses. There is also on-going work to improve equipment for lifting and transferring patients. Again thanks to the nurses who alerted the committee to the issues.
