I am a nurse (or I know a nurse) and this #NationalNursesWeek a pizza party won’t cut it. #WhatNursesReallyWant is the time and resources to provide their patients with the quality care they deserve.

Nurses really want healthcare executives to invest in the front lines and improve conditions to solve our state’s nursing crisis. This means enacting legislation at the State House like safe patient limits, workplace violence prevention, and essential healthcare services protection.

Instagram Template

A thank you note in the hospital’s magazine. A tray of sandwiches. A plate of cookies. A water bottle. This is NOT #WhatNursesReallyWant during #NationalNursesWeek.

I am a nurse (or I know a nurse) and nurses want to feel truly valued. They want to have the time to properly care for their patients’ complex needs. They want to go home at the end of a shift and feel like nothing was missed, that they were not overburdened, and that their patients got everything they deserved. Nurses want to work in a safe environment. They want to have a life.

#WhatNursesReallyWant this #NursesWeek are safe patient limits, workplace violence prevention, and essential healthcare services protection.
