May 18th Program is the largest educational forum for nurses in the State
What: On Friday, May 18, the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) is hosting its second annual Clinical Nursing Conference at the DCU Center in Worcester. The event will provide cutting edge continuing education to more than 1,000 nurses, making it the largest educational forum for nurses in the state.
The day-long conference will include sessions that focus on a variety of nursing and health care topics, including advances in cancer therapy and diabetes treatment; care for victims of sexual violence; the peri-natal causes of cerebral palsy; caring for late preterm infants; critical care for patients in acute respiratory distress; what today’s nurses need to know about psychotropic drugs; and stress reduction techniques for nurses.
This MNA-sponsored program will also provide reporters with a unique chance to interview experienced RNs about today’s hot health care topics, including the nursing crisis and the MNA’s proposed safe staffing legislation. The best time to interview nurses will be during the morning break from 10 – 10:30 a.m. and during lunch from noon – 1 p.m.
