Dear Ms. Downey,
I am writing in response to your request for your allowing me
the "opportunity" to participate in a voting process to determine
the future of District V, Inc., MNA.
Let me state unequivocally: I HAVE ALREADY BEEN GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY
TO EXPRESS MY WISHES REGARDING THE FUTURE OF DISTRICT V, AS WELL
AS EVERY OTHER DISTRICT IN THE MNA, AT THE DISAFFILIATION VOTE
IN WORCESTER ON MARCH 24.
I am a reasonably intelligent person but was confused and dazed
upon attempting to decipher the "inner meaning" associated with
your request. It wasn't until a letter arrived from the legitimate
MNA Board of Directors that confirmed my suspicion that some disgruntled
faction was up to some scheme. Get over it… leave town if
you can't deal with the wishes of the overwhelming 83% who voted
in favor of disaffiliation. WHY, AFTER VOTING OVERWHELMINGLY TO
DISAFFILIATE FROM THE ANA, WOULD WE VOTE TO DISSOLVE DISTRICT V
UNLESS WE WERE TOTALLY CONFUSED BY YOUR SEMANTICS? You insult my
colleagues and me by your implications of our stupidity. These
antics clearly illustrate why we nurses at the bedside have become
so disenchanted with the lack of support and differing of professional
agendas that we chose to disaffiliate. It's a shame that you just
don't get it!
Respectfully,
M. Falco, RN
