  Mass. receives domestic violence funding from the Family Violence Prevention Fund

A number of leaders in Massachusetts will be tasked with developing national health care standards for victims of domestic violence. This project entitled, SHARED: Statewide Healthcare Awareness, Response, Resources and Education on Domestic Violence is being coordinated by Jane Doe Inc. (JDI), the Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. This collaborative initiative will work to:

1. increase collaboration in health care

2. increase public and provider awareness

3. create outreach and educational materials

4. standardize provider education

5. disseminate clinical guidelines

6. facilitate academic, research and evaluation collaboration and

7. implement multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance and promote consistency in health care across Massachusetts as it relates to domestic violence in the health care setting.
