  • Pre-Strike Rally For Nurses to Be Held at St. Margaret's Parish Center Tonight From 7 – 10 p.m., With Local & State Political, Labor and Community Leaders on Hand to Support the Nurses
Talks today failed to reach a settlement in the contract dispute between the registered nurses of Brockton Hospital and management, which means the nurses will strike tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. In preparation for the strike, nurses will gather with colleagues, nurses and supporters from surrounding facilities, as well as local political, labor and community leaders for a Pre-Strike Rally at St. Margaret's Parish Center, 891 Montello St. in Brockton from 7 – 10 p.m.

The talks ended on Tuesday with Brockton management scheduled to offer a final counter-proposal to the nurses today. The talks failed to provide the movement the nurses sought to address their concerns related to the issues of staffing, mandatory overtime, floating of nurses and salary. For more information on the specifics of the negotiations today, call the contacts listed at the top of this release for comment.
