Attending MNA Business Meeting:What you need to know

Due to the anticipated attendance for this important meeting the following procedures have been put into place for the registration process:

  • The MNA Business Meeting is free and open to all current MNA members in good standing.
  • Verification of membership will be based on photo ID's and current membership records.
  • Registration for convention will begin at 9 a.m. on Nov. 8. However, registration for the business meeting begins at 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 9. You do not need to register for Convention to attend the Business Meeting.
  • Allow extra time for registration if you are planning to attend the business meeting which starts at 1 p.m. Bylaws discussion is anticipated to begin at 2p.m.
  • Those members who aren't able to attend the entire Business Meeting but wish to attend that portion devoted to the issue of the ANA Affiliation are encouraged to call the MNA at extension 755, where information will be provided as to the status of the business meeting, and when the affiliation bylaw proposal will be up for consideration.
  • Seating for the business meeting will occur in multiple rooms and will use video and audio interactive technology to facilitate business. Members who are registered for the Business Meeting will be given a wristband that will allow them to enter and leave the meeting rooms as needed.
  • New members (within last 60 days) who are on payroll deduction should bring a copy of a payroll stub since payroll reports which show their new member status may not have yet been received from their employer.
  • A separate room has been allocated to non-members, who will be seated on a space available basis after all members have been seated.
