State Nursing Commission: An Opportunity For All Nurses To Tell Their Story and Make Changes in Our Profession...Legislators are Listening

The Massachusetts State Legislature has created a special commission to investigate and report on matters affecting the practice of nursing and the delivery of health care services by nurses. This commission has now been appointed and fondly dubbed "The Nursing Commission". It will be conducting public hearings throughout the state to hear directly from nurses about the problems and possible solutions. The MNA is actively following this commission and strongly encouages all nurses to participate in these hearings, either by attending and showing your support or by testifying. This commission provides you with your chance to speak-up, be heard by the right people, and possibly make positive changes for the profession.
