On Tuesday March 21st the nurses at Mercy Medical
Center in Springfield held an informational picket line to inform
the Community about their stalled contract negotiations and about
the unsage conditions inside the hospital. After filing 279 unsafe
staffing reports the nurses were heartened by the support they got
from community and labor organizations. Reports of the event were
on all the Springfield TV stations, WHYM radio and a story was written
for the the Springfield Union News.
