take
a break for health care
11.17.03
Every candidate
for political office is talking about health care reform. Often they roll out
elaborate schemes with much fan fare about how “their plan” will
fix the system.
So how can you
as a health care consumer best make sense of all these complicated plans?
Jobs with Justice—a
coalition of labor and community organizations working together to build support
for the struggles of working people—with support from the MNA will use
the weeks of November 17 through December 5 to provide people with a simple
framework for understanding different approaches to health care reform.
During this time,
union stewards and community leaders across the state will ask people to "take
a break" to discuss the current health care crisis and how to work together
in order implement a health care reform that protects everyone.
This activity is
designed to only take about 10 minutes, hence the "Take a Break for Health
Care" theme.
Please take 10
minutes to review the following educational flyers, as well as to vote for and
pledge support to the health care reform initiatives.
